Genetics Australia Holdings has an exciting opportunity within its growing ET/IVF business to help manage its on centre donors and large recipient herd. Working closely with the Farm Manager and On Centre Veterinarian in a team environment, this position would suit an enthusiastic, result driven cattle person who has an interest in bovine reproduction.
Responsibilities will consist of but not limited to:
Animal nutrition, safe administration of animal health treatments under veterinary instruction, embryo/egg stimulation programming, coordinating arrival and departure of animals, general animal movements, accurate record keeping, assist artificial insemination and embryo transfer technician, calving, general maintenance to include fence and water repairs, capable of operating 4 wheel motorbikes, tractors and feeding equipment under WHS company policies.
Requirements:
Car drivers license
Heavy rigid truck license (preferrable, but not essential)
Previous farming and cattle experience
A strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills
As part of a team, support and training will be provided. This is casual position with the requirement of weekend work. A salary package commensurate with skills and experience will be paid to the
successful applicant.
